Certificate of Conformance
Sample Certification
Upon request, NEWPORT will certify that the product(s) shipped on the buyer’s purchase order are manufactured in accordance with all applicable
instructions and specifications on published data sheets. Chemical, physical, electrical, and/or inspection test data are on file with us or with our
suppliers for examination and indicate conformance with applicable specification requirements. NEWPORT Electronics, Inc. further certifies that all
thermocouple base and noble metal materials conform to ANSI Limits of Error (ANSI Standard MC96.1).
This calibration is provided at no charge. Please specify at the time of order to receive this certificate.

Certificate of Calibration
Sample Certification
Upon request, NEWPORT will certify that product shipped (model number, serial number, and buyer’s purchase order number specified)
has been calibrated to meet or exceed the published specifications. This calibration was performed using instrumentation and standards
that are traceable to the United States National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST)
This calibration is provided at no charge. Must be requested at the time of order.

NIST Traceable Certificate of Calibration with Test Data
Sample Certification
Same as CAL-2, with the addition of actual tested data points along with NIST traceable test numbers. A CAL-3 provides the same documentation as a CAL-1/CAL-2 and
gives you discrete test points of data and NIST traceable test numbers. Calibration has been performed in compliance with ISO 10012-1 and ISO9001 Section
4.11 and ANSI/NCSL Z540-1-1994. The test uncertainty ratio (T.U.R.) of this calibration is at least 4:1 unless otherwise stated.

Calibration has been performed in compliance with ISO 10012-1 and ISO9001 Section 4.11 and ANSI/NCSL Z540-1-1994.

Same as CAL-3-HU, but for dual channel units. Calibration traceable to NIST with 4 data points (3 humidity and 1 temperature) across the instrument’s range,
per channel. A CAL-3-H-DUAL provides the same documentation as a CAL-3 but there is one certificate for each channel. The certificates give discrete test points
of data and NIST traceable test numbers. Calibration has been performed in compliance with ISO 10012-1 and ISO9001 Section 4.11 and ANSI/NCSL Z540-1-1994.
The test uncertainty ratio (T.U.R.) of this calibration is at least 4:1 unless otherwise stated.

FACTORY & NIST CALIBRATIONS for SENSORS, WIRE & INSTRUMENTS
With calibration instrumentation conforming to MIL-STD-45662A, NEWPORT can calibrate individual products (both new and
existing) or complete systems, with NIST traceability if required. Scheduled, periodic calibration of equipment is easily arranged as well.
Probes and instruments that may be calibrated at customer-specified temperatures:
- Thermocouple and RTD probes (thermistor must be calibrated as a system with a meter and wire).
- Thermocouple wire.
- Probe/meter systems.
- Meters/instrumentation.
Wire calibration requires cutting approximately 3' from the spool being tested,
forming a bead and performing the calibrations. The tested wire will be sent along with the spool and certification.
NIST TRACEABLE CALIBRATION OF PROBES
Sample Certification
Upon request NEWPORT certifies that the item has been calibrated and tested to meet or
exceed the published specifications. This calibration and testing was performed using instrumentation and standards that are traceable to
the National Institute of Standards and Technology. Calibration has been performed in compliance with ISO 10012-1 and ISO9001, ANSI/NCSL Z540-1-1994,
ANSI MC 96.1 and ASTM E 230.

CAL-3-TC (factory selected points), designate this calibration level when NIST traceability is required on the thermocouple probe or probe/instrument system you are purchasing new or returning previously purchased equipment for calibration, $110 (probe only), $135 (probe with instrument).
CAL-4-TC (customer selected points), designate this calibration level when NIST traceability is required on the thermocouple probe or probe/instrument system you are purchasing new or returning previously purchased equipment for calibration $85 + $35 (probe only), $150 + $35 (probe with instrument).
FACTORY CALIBRATION OF PROBES
Available for Types J, K, T, E and N mineral insulated thermocouples: quick disconnect, transition junction, utility handle, and low-noise styles. Each probe certified at four temperature standards. Calibration card included "pre-stocked" with each probe.

1, select the style of probe needed for your application within this section.
2, to receive a calibration report detailing the accuracy of your probe at the standard Temperature points shown add -CL5 to the end of the probe part number and add $15 to the probe price.
