Model 205-A is a low-cost 3 1/2 digit DC voltmeter with a full-size 0.56 in (14.2 mm), red or green LED display, yet housed in a small 3/64 DIN case with a 24 x 72 mm bezel. The case fits into a standard 3/64 DIN cutout, 0.87 x 2.68 in (22.2 x 68 mm), and requires a depth of less than 4.72 in (120 mm) behind the panel, including plug-in screw-clamp connectors (standard).

The 205-A offers 99.9% accuracy and jumper-selectable DC voltage ranges of ±199.9 mV, ±1.999 V, ±19.99 V and ±199.9 V. The input is true differential, with excellent common mode rejection (CMR).

AC- or DC-POWERED
Multiple choices are available for AC or DC power. All provide EMI filtering, so that power line noise does not affect the meter reading. AC power options are 24, 100, 115 or 230 V ac. Non-isolated DC power options are 5 or 7-32 V dc.

DESIGNED FOR SAFETY
Many design features are incorporated to ensure compliance with the latest worldwide safety specifications. To minimize the possibility of electrical shock, there are no openings which would allow electrical contact with a probe 0.16 in (4 mm) in diameter. Proper creepage distances are observed for power and signal as specified by IEC-348, Class 1. The power transformer uses separate bobbins for the primary and secondary windings. Type-Y AC line filter capacitors and removable screw-clamp connectors comply with VDE and UL specifications. Noryl SE-1 plastic is used in the case for mechanical strength and flame retardance.
