The 6155A
is a 6-digit slave display for use with computers. PLCs, panel meters
and other instruments producing serial ASCII outputs to RS-232, RS-422
or RS-485 standards. It is similar in appearance to other NEWPORT®
instruments and fits standard 1/8 DIN panel cutouts.
The
6155A-P is a multipurpose 6-digit slave display for use with
PLCs, panel meters and other devices having parallel BCD outputs.
It is similar in appearance to other NEWPORT®
instruments and fits standard 1/8 DIN panel units. 5, 12, 24 and 48
V logic inputs can be positive or negative logic and accept a variety
of signals including open collector PLC outputs. Data can be user
formatted for full parallel or bit parallel, character serial in a
variety of convenient arrangements.
DISPLAY FORMAT
The standard display format is six 14.2 mm high, seven-segment LED
digits separated by decimal points: 8.8.8.8.8.8. The most significant
digit (MSD) may be a negative polarity sign. Serial input options
permit the display of some simple messages in addition to the numerical
data.
SERIAL MODE
Serial ASCII coded data is accepted into a differential or single
ended line receiver at common Baud rates and up to 15 V level. Data
accepted is numeric, plus a simple character set (e.g. °C, Hi, Lo).
The 6155AS can be DIP switch programmed to an individual address number,
so that up to 15 displays may share a common data line.
