MI Heating
Cable can easily be bent or formed to make tubular and immersion
coil heating elements.
|
An extremely
versatile heat source.
Highly adaptable, the tubular element, in its many forms, has vastly
increased the scale of electric heating applications. Its mechanical
and electrical flexibility are important to the process engineer and
product designer alike, as heating requirements can be matched accurately
by proper selection from a great variety of element lengths, sheaths,
diameters and watt densities.
Product uniformity – Electric tubular heating elements provide
a method of applying the exact amount of heat required to a specific
area.
Sheath Material
For resisting any corrosion inherent in the process or environment
and for withstanding the sheath temperature required. OMEGALUX® cable
features Incoloy as its standard sheath material due to its superior
temperature ratings. Other sheath materials such as copper, steel
and stainless steel are available – contact our Sales Department for
details.
Features
Tough outer sheath of copper, steel or Incoloy resists damage during
installation and provides a reliable electrical ground for safe operation.
Non-inflammable. MI cable will not burn or support combustion.
Mineral insulated heating cables are capable of maintaining temperatures
far higher than other types of heating cable. In addition, they can
have output ratings more than 10 times greater than other heater cables.
The metal sheath provides great strength and resistance.
