High Temperature Thermocouple Wire with Nextel or Silica Yarn Fiber Insulation

Nextel high temperature ceramic insulation is offered with three types of overbraiding. XC is the standard braid, XT is a tight braid and XL is a loose braid. The three braids affect only the amount of Nextel used, not the overall temperature rating.

Silica is a high purity (SiO₂ > 99%) yarn, that offers high temperature protection up to 2000°F at an economical price.

Not recommended for use in abrasive environments without protection of Inconel overbraiding or a thermowell

NEWPORT will overbraid any thermocouple wire with Inconel 600, 304 SS or tinned copper overbraiding. Both Inconel 600 and SS add durability and abrasion protection. Consult Sales Department.
